Sangria recipes

The list of Sangria recipes is long and varied. Each region or household may have their own 'traditional' recipe, but the truth is sangria is what you make of it.
Most recipes are similar and use whatever is in season or in stock. There are however a few things that are common in every good sangria recipe ..... wine, fruit and ice, it's always served cold. As long as you have those ingredients the rest is really up to you.
Try one of the recipes below and have fun experimenting, try making your own signature sangria recipe using your favourite fruits and wine.

Red Sangria (traditional)

120ml of red wine (try a Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot or Shiraz)
30ml of Red Sangria Mix
50ml of fresh orange juice
A splash of soda water
A few slices of seasonal fruit (try orange and nectarine)
Ice

Put a handful of ice and a few slices of fruit into a large wine glass.
Pour wine, sangria mix, juice and add a splash of soda water over the fruit and ice. Mix well and serve.

White Sangria

120ml of white wine (try a Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling or Chardonnay)
30ml of White Sangria Mix
50ml of fresh apple juice
A splash of soda water
A few slices of seasonal fruit (try apple and pear)
Ice

Put a handful of ice and a few slices of fruit into a large wine glass.
Pour wine, sangria mix, juice and add a splash of soda water over the fruit and ice. Mix well and serve.

Sparkling Sangria

120ml of sparkling wine (try a Cuvee or Brut)
30ml of White Sangria Mix
50ml of fresh cranberry juice
A splash of soda water
A few slices of seasonal fruit (try raspberries and strawberries)
Ice

Put a handful of ice and a few slices of fruit into a tall glass.
Pour wine, sangria mix, juice and add a splash of soda water over the fruit and ice. Mix well and serve.
